Our Founder & CEO

Brittany Katalenas, originally from Ohio, earned her BS in Urban Affairs from Wright State University in 2009, focusing on Economic Development, with minors in Women's Studies and English. After moving to Boulder County, Colorado, through the AmeriCorps VISTA program, she supported the Human Services Department's division directors, specifically working with the Safety Net Funds.

 

In 2019, Brittany completed her Master of Social Work with a focus on Macro Studies of social service delivery from Metropolitan State University. For the past decade, she has been dedicated to administering housing and urban development programs, focusing on supporting residents in achieving housing access and stability.

 

During her graduate studies, Brittany identified service gaps between the public and private sectors. In 2018, she used her student loans to launch B-Konnected, a social enterprise that focuses on innovative solutions within housing, stability, and community engagements that lead to thriving communities. B-Konnected aims to provide social workers, residents, and property owners with tools to track interventions, social impact, housing stability, and stock. Recognizing the importance of incorporating social determinants of health, she developed a methodology and framework to track these determinants and related indicators.

 

In 2022, Brittany co-founded Konnected Technologies Inc. to further address these gaps and bring innovations to both public and private sectors, enhancing services for individuals and communities in housing and beyond. Brittany focuses on creating innovative ways to address some of our most complex problems through intentional solutions and technology.
